As Musikmesse Showcase models, three unique limited models are revealed. The S features Camphor Tree Body with Silverworks. The SV does the foil finish inspired by the traditional Japanese “Garahaku” art. The SR7VIISC-BK is an experimental 7-string bass, offering a Low-B to High-E.

New for 2009, Ibanez introduced the Darkstone guitars. On the new style body, Darkstone features all new features functionally and sonically.

The Ibanez celebrates the 20th anniversary since the first PGM model was introduced. With Paul, Ibanez has continuously launched the various PGM. And for his talent, one model was not enough to celebrate the occasion, here introduced are PGM100RE, the reissue of the first PGM model and Paul's current main axe, the PGM-FRM1 Fireman. And one more model has been decided to be reissued by customers voting, will be released during the Messe show.

Ibanez electronics provides variety in its effect pedals and tuners that satisfies wide demand. The new for 2009 are the AP9, Analog Phaser, PU20, Clip tuner with backlit LCD display and more color availability on some tuners.

RG Creations do not slow down. The motifs of new RG420EG are Transformer and Beehive and are dark skull and airport’s runway on RG320PG.

This model, PGM300 was chosen by customers' voting through Ibanez website and will be reissued as a limited edition. Customers voted their choice among 9 PGM models Ibanez released during the 20 years.
