New for 2009, Ibanez introduced the Darkstone guitars. On the new style body, Darkstone features all new features functionally and sonically.

The Ibanez celebrates the 20th anniversary since the first PGM model was introduced. With Paul, Ibanez has continuously launched the various PGM. And for his talent, one model was not enough to celebrate the occasion, here introduced are PGM100RE, the reissue of the first PGM model and Paul's current main axe, the PGM-FRM1 Fireman. And one more model has been decided to be reissued by customers voting, will be released during the Messe show.

RG Creations do not slow down. The motifs of new RG420EG are Transformer and Beehive and are dark skull and airport’s runway on RG320PG.
New for 2009, Ibanez is proud to present the Signature of Peter Iwers from In Flames. The bass is built to take anything that comes its way. Paul Gray(Slipknot), Mike D’Antonio (Killswitch Engage) and Paul Romanko (Shadows Fall) renewed their finishes and design also.
Ibanez ATK basses now come with the rosewood fingerboard option in 3 finishes including the eye-catching Mint Green.
ART expands the line with the new ART300, features the Caiman finish, a unique texture created by the scalloped top, and the flat top version, ART80.
One of the oldest Ibanez original shapes, the AR series extended the coverage from Prestige to more affordable range with the same beautifully made arch and neck-set.
